NRAMA: What prefaced the call? Wasn't it David Mack who was working at Marvel first?
BMB: Yeah, my dear, dear friend David Mack had gotten a call from Joe [Quesada]. And Joe was quite enamored with Kabuki. And David and Joe were working on Daredevil together, and I was like, [whispering] "show him my stuff, man!" 'Cause I was really digging what Joe was doing. I wasn't digging mainstream comics in general, just because of where they were at the time. |
