Sometime I want to make a museum that displays all the arms and heads missing from the statues in all the other museums. Maybe put the sphinx’s nose there, too.

Heroes Convention Plugs Mack & Bendis
From the Heroes Convention blog:
Oh, but that's not all - also new this week is Kabuki creator David Mack, who'll be appearing with his buddy Brian Michael Bendis. I'm still puzzling over where to put those lines, but we'll figure something out. Besides his work on Kabuki, David is also adapting Philip K. Dick's Electric Ant into comics this summer with Marvel Comics.

Displaying Eisner Award Nominations
From David Mack:
You can display them in the bathroom - that way when visitors want something to read - they can see how awesome you are.

I have all my Eisner nominations on the bathroom wall with some paintings.

Upcoming Kent Williams & Barron Storey Project
From David Mack:
Yeah, Carl Wychaert is awesome. He posts on this board sometimes too. Feel welcome to post here about his books or art shows if you have any questions for him.

He set up an art show in Belgium last year for me, Kent Williams, Barron Storey and George Pratt and Ted McKeever.

Barron, Kent and I are working on another fine art project with him that has not been announced yet. But I'll post about it here when I get the green light.

And very glad you are looking forward to Barron's new printing of Marate/Sade. I was honored to be asked to write the intro and I'll post more info about it here when I get more details of the shipping date.

(Carl, if you are reading this - feel welcome to promote the book here all you want and update us on it).

Barron is a super guy too. I've spoken at his sequential art class at CCA in San Fran the last few years. And spent some time with him. Really looking forward to seeing him and Allen Spiegel at the show and Barron's gallery show at Society of Illustrators.

The first time I became aware of Barron's work was in a Society of Illustrators annual that I got from the library when I was a kid - like 12 or 13 yrs old. Very inspiring stuff.

Snorkelling in Hanauma Bay
From David Mack:
Yeah, I second Hanauma Bay! It was the first time I went snorkeling and it is awesome. Buy a snorkel and gogs and go underwater and you will be swarmed by the most beautiful fish like you see on Discovery Channel. Sea turtles, eels, and the most colorful curious fish. If you have some grains of rice in your hand, they will swarm you and eat from your hand. It will blow your mind.

But don't forget the sunblock!!
