Possible Electric Ant #1 Release Date |
When asked about the release date for Electric Ant #1, David Mack replied: |
This summer. I think probably July for the first issue. But definitely summer of this year.
Great art for this coming in. Awesome Paul Pope covers coming in. Going over all the details of the art as they come in and working with the Dick Estate on a regular basis.
I'll post some art here as soon as I get the OK from Marvel. |
David Mack Mentioned During Interview |
From AmeliasMagazine.com's interview with Timothy M. Duong: |
AM: How did you get into art?
TD: My cousin, who passed away several years ago, introduced me to comic book art when I was very young and for years until high school that was all I was doing. While I was deep into the world of comics and the linear art, I bumped into "Kabuki" a book written and illustrated by David Mack and that was probably one of the most pivotal points in my artistic development. I didn’t even know that it was possible to bring such a way of communication with such a medium as comics. From then and there I abandoned comics and ventured into fine art. |
Mack & Bendis on "Murderer's Row of Writers" List |
While talking about Daredevil, Marvel Editor in Chief Joe Quesada noted: |
But you've had writers from Stan Lee, of course, to Frank Miller to Ann Nocenti — and incidentally, I think Ann's run is tremendous, it's maybe just not as well-recognized 'cause she followed Frank — to Kevin Smith, David Mack, Bob Gale, Brian Bendis, Ed Brubaker, and now Andy. I'm sure I'm missing some greats in there as well, but it's pretty much a murderer's row of writers. |
