I study her lips and notice that I hear her voice even when her mouth is closed. Furthermore, her mouth does not match her words.

Andy Lee to be at Wondercon...
Feb 16, 2005 3:06 am

If all goes as planned, Andy is flying in from Hawaii to arrive in San Fran Friday morning, and I imagine, will be sitting next to me at the con.
Possibly at the table Bendis was planned to be at.

He will be at the con all day, everyday, doing commissioned work for you.

I don't think Andy has had time to make hotel arrangements, so if someone wants him to share their room with him or invite him to their place, or for a night out of mayhem, go ahead and ask him at the con in case he has not yet made plans.

I'm sure he'll be in Chicago. We always go there together.
I'm sure he will be happy to accomadate all your thong requests!

Thanks, I'll pass it on.
But I think the Toronto show gives him a room.
And there is a good chance I will be there this time too.

But if someone is looking for a room partner in SF, don't be shy to ask Andy if you decide you want to hang out with him.
Same goes for the ladies too. He's a real gentleman.

Mark Millar, you really put a smile on my face.
You are a lovely man.
And I think you are really doing God's work.

Just today I was revelling in memories of our time in Australia and New Zealand. It was a delight.
And I liked doing charades and dances with you in Chicago.

You can touch my front ass anytime.

Australia was a fantastic con, D. The whole two weeks was insane, compunded by the fact we were having breakfast with Batgirl and Chewbacca every morning. How surreal was that trip? I feel like David Lynch was directing our lives for two weeks.

Looking forward to seeing you in Chi, old son. You going to Nicky B's Vegas bachelor party? That's definitely my other American trip this year.

MM

I've been playing phone tag with Nicky.
When is it?

I'm not sure. Joe's organising it so I'll check in with him today and see what's happening. Wedding is the first week in October so I'd guess it's somewhere around Sept. It should be great. It's going to be a mini-con by the sound of things and Joe is both rich and insane enough that this weekend will be something we'll never forget. You should definitely try to be there. I'm going to talk BMB into this too.

MM

PS Oeming, of course, is a given before we even ask

That sounds great.
I'm really happy for Nicky.
I'll see if I can do it.

I certainly have good memories from our last "Marvel Meeting" !

Man, how could I forget? What happened in Vegas STAYS in Vegas, as they say.

BTW, I was talking to Dave Bogart and he said that everyone who was at said event is now known as THE EXCELSIOR CLUB. I went to one of those cheesy business card machines and had a hundred of them printed up as membership cards (red shiny letters on a black backdrop) so remind me to give you one when I see you. This is comics' most exclusive club now and only those in attendance in 04 can be members.

MM

Ha! That's great that you made cards!
The Excelsior Club. More exclusive than that Eyes Wide Shut shit.

Sleazier too. I have a feeling that in twenty years time some comics historian is going to write a book about The Excelsior club.

MM

Hopfully they will leave out some chapters.

I used to watch football matches with him commentating when I was a kid so his breakdown then his transformation into new age/ conspiracy guru is especially fascinating to me. I can see a lot of his stuff in all my more paranoid books like Wanted and The Ultimates. I'd love some con to actually get him along as a guest. He pulls huge crowds. He had 100,000 people show up in South Africa.

MM

It would be great to see him at a con.

Well, my food break is over. I have to get back to work.

Mark is was fun discussing with you on both of these threads.
This is obviously why God invented the internet.

Bye all.

See you at Wondercon!

Stop trying to make people less afraid of your penis, D.
PS That's hilarious about the Dad of your new GF. I cringed when I read that...
Are you TRYING to scare people away from my penis?
One thing I will NEVER forget about meeting David the first time was getting this great kid story from his dad about him (at a rather innocent age) informing his grandmother that he had a penis. (Why do parents do that to their kids? Must be true that paybacks are hell.)

To which the younger Mr. Mack says to me..."Yes, I do have a penis."

Confirmation from the man himself.

Thanks for that.
As if my Dad saying it to you wasn't ridiculous enough!

But I pay my dad back for that stuff. The last two times I was being honored with some school award, and my dad was in the audience when I was on stage, I began my list of thank yous, by thanking my father for contributing his sperm.
He got really red-faced. And laughed uncomfortalby.

I don't think Millar said he agreed with all of his theories. Just that they were all over the place and he enjoyed reading about them.
I've heard all his lizard stories before too.
And you have to at least admit that it was entertaining.
I can totally see the crossover interest in the mythology he writes about and the mythology Mark writes about in comics.

The Kabuki film is at Fox right now.
I've been re-selling the option to them every year and a half for the last six years while we develop it.

I've been heavily involved in it from the beginning.
So rest assured that I'm not going to let it turn into Cat Woman.
I didn't just sell it to them and write it off.
I've been employed by Fox to work on the film this entire time in several capacities.
Besides writing the treatment for them, my credits include Visual Designer, and Co-Producer among others.

I even got to work with John Sayles on it for a while.

So please feel comfortable in voting for it

Hi Nonnie!
I do want to go to that show sometime.
But I doubt my schedule will allow it for this year.

I heard that Andy Lee may be going to it.

Hopefully I'll see you sometime.
