MOB News Bytes
Brian Michael Bendis's interview with Brad Meltzer was posted to WizardUniverse.com. Also, in his latest email newsletter, Mike Oeming mentioned that two pieces of artwork, a black and white Daredevil and Retro Girl (from Powers) watercolor are available on eBay and announced his upcoming appearance at Baltimore Con (September 9-10), which will feature the debut of ACTOR Comics Presents. Below is more Information about the ACTOR comic:
By Stan Lee, Oeming, Linsner, Dini, Sim, and others
152 pages, $10

Comic creators have united to volunteer their time and talents to this first-ever benefit book for ACTOR! This is it, true believers - the first benefit book from ACTOR - A Commitment To Our Roots - with proceeds going directly to help comic creators in need. A bold cover by Joseph Linsner featuring the Incredible Hulk and Amazing Spider-Man starts the action packed, 152 page benefit book with a cornucopia of talent, including a new story by Stan Lee!

And the action doesn't stop at the cover-how about two new stories featuring the Incredible Hulk (by William Loebs, Dave Simons and Armando Gil) and Spider-Man (by Rom Marz and Dan Jurgens) - IN FULL COLOR! This 152-page book features 24 action-packed pages of color!

Creators continue to be added to the contributor list...but here are just a few to whet your appetite - Stan Lee and Michael Linsner team up in a new tale; a new story from Michael Avon Oeming. And did we mention Paul Dini?

While were on the subject, we may not know what these guys are contributing, but we know it'll be great-creators such as Mark Waid, Dave Sim, Tom DeFalco, Al Nickerson, Joe Staton, Jerry Hinds, John Gallagher, Gene Gonzales, J.C. Vaughn...and the list grows daily!

Published in conjunction with Century Comics, this book showcases the industry's top talent-all of whom have dedicated their time to this worthwhile cause! To date, ACTOR has disbursed over $170,000 in payments to creators in need. This benefit book is a chance for you to be a part of this great cause!

Special Notes: This book is priced at a fantastic price point of $10 for 152 pages (including 24 pages in full color!) It is a great anthology book for all comic fans-or for anyone just wanting to support ACTOR!
