| David Mack Confirms Pittsburgh Con Appearance |
| From David Mack regarding the Pittsburgh Comicon (April 21-23): |
I plan to be there all 3 days too. It is going to rock. It is a fun show and not too crowded or overwhelming so there is a personal feel to it.
I'll be there with Bendis and Oeming! As far as I know, Andy Lee will be there too. But I've had trouble getting a hold of him to confirm.
I'll be doing sketch stuff for the charity. And donating art for the Make A Wish Foundation Auction.
Going to be cool! |

| Kabuki College Paper |
| Thanks to Matt Zaff for sharing a copy of "Song, Dance, Action" (Adobe Acrobat: 70 kb - Word: 11 kb), an English class paper in which Mr. Zaff argues that Kabuki stands above other comic books in terms of story and art as well as the combination of each. |
| Mack & Oeming Mentioned in Review |
| From CHUD.com's review of Fade From Grace: |
What’s truly stunning about the book is the art. [Jeff] Amano often completely eschews outlining his characters, resulting in a story told as much by color as by line (at times it resembles something assembled from cut-out colored paper). The book would be impossible to skim through: you’d get whiplash as your gaze is arrested, again and again, by the images leaping off the page. It’s almost defiantly two-dimensional, a bit reminiscent of Mike Oeming’s work on Powers. Oeming, in fact, contributes one of the afterwords; the other is by Kabuki’s David Mack, and is a fascinating, and detailed, analysis of the art - easily one of the best such commentaries I’ve ever read. |
