#1: My first too! I began DD on that story as the writer. My first Marvel work RT @Primewax that's my first DD story ever. I hope I like it :)
#2: New breakthrough on The LOVE(rs) Card. I think different than any other Love/Lovers card. With plenty of cogs/gears. The way love should be.
#3: I have some great stories about the road of bringing Kabuki to film... Studios, directors, executives, producers, actors, agents... surreal
#4: Very interesting e-mail from a good director today about the Kabuki film... Hmmm
#5: Made some breakthroughs on these cards. Affixing cogs & gears into embracing wooden figurines... lovingly & with surgical precision.
#6: Been taking pics of process. I'll get pics here soon RT @badfaery @davidmackkabuki When do we get to see? The curiosity is killing me! ;)
#7: When I was in China I saw graffiti on a wall that was math problems. I'll never forget that.
#8: Finishing touches on these Tarot cards. Gluing burnt matches & metal pen nibs. Coffee, commentaries & cats abound.
#9: Kurosawa's instruction to Mifune in Rashomon is to be a lion. If you watch Mifune's intro in the film, he is being a big cat.
#10: Also the commentary to the Criterion of the 1932 The Most Dangerous Game is good storytelling psychology that U can listen to while painting
#11: The Rashomon commentary is a storytelling 101 for visual storytelling. Clearly articulated. Composition as storytelling. Movement as story
#12: The commentary to Criterion RASHOMON is great to paint to
#13: Working on them now. The original paintings are 11x17 & + RT @a_stoddard @davidmackkabuki What size are all these Tarot paintings? about |
