Kabuki: The Alchemy Hardcover Production Update |
 |
When asked if the Kabuki: The Alchemy hardcover will be available during his Austin Books signing on November 12 or his upcoming art show at St. Edward's University on November 14, David Mack explained: |
 |
Man, I wish. I really timed this show to happen when the hardcover was out.
It's been at the printer for quite a long time. My guess is that there are other high profile collections ahead of it on the runway.
Kinda a bummer that it isn't out for the show yet. I scheduled all these art shows and University talks at the end of the year so I would have the HC at the time.
But - oh well, no complaints. I roll with it - I-Ching - Jazz.
I will have other books of mine there at the show though and will sign any of my books that anyone brings. |

David Mack on Electic Ant Release Date |
 |
When asked if a release date has been set for Electric Ant, David Mack replied: |
 |
Thanks, guys!
Really glad you are looking forward to this. I am, too.
I don't know that there has been a firm date set, but we've been working on this just about every day - approving artwork and finessing the details.
I've been working closely with the Dick Estate and Marvel and Tommy Pallotta to make this the best it can be. |
David Mack & Kabuki Mentioned During Interview |
 |
From PalaceInTheSky.com's interview with Abandon creator Greg Carter: |
 |
Q: How did you get started making webcomics?
Carter: I got into comics late in life. I’ve never liked the spandex books. Very few of the "alternative comics" that exploded in the 80’s did much for me (except Howard the Duck). I was too busy being a musician. Later, I discovered the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics and that got me into a comic shop. From there I discovered Kabuki, by David Mack, and Strangers in Paradise, by Terry Moore, and those convinced me that I needed to tell my stories in comic form. |
