Echo's Life in the Marvel Universe |

From David Mack: |

Akira posted: I'm wondering this, too. I loved Echo when Mack created her, and when he came back to write her later during Vision Quest. And I love her now. But I was wondering if Mack ever thought she'd get this big. I mean she's a freakin' Avenger now. That's pretty awesome, no?
That IS pretty awesome. No, Echo becoming an Avenger would never have occurred to me.
I understand that it is a Marvel character and after my initial stories with her that she would have a life of her own in the Marvel U, but I am extremely fortunate that she's been written by a writer with Brian's talent.
Even though he has taken her in directions that I never would have thought of, it works because of his level of talent. And for that I'm honored.
After such a long time working on the current Kabuki: The Alchemy series and having just now completed that Kabuki story arc, I'm psyched to jump into a one issue project on Avengers with Brian for a big change of pace in art and storytelling approach. |
