Vote for Next Alternate Kabuki: The Alchemy Cover
From David Mack:
I'm making the solicitation text for the Kabuki issue and I'm going to offer an alternate cover by one of my favorite artists.

I've got some REALLY great Kabuki art on hand by some of my fave artists that has never been published. I may have narrowed it down to a few. I'll let you decide.

As readers and retailers, which of these would you actually order and prefer:
-Brush and ink Kabuki by Jon J. Muth
-Mike Allred Kabuki
-Kabuki painting by Mike Gaydos
-Bill Sienkiewicz

I love them all. Which one would you actually order?

Mouse Hunting at Staples
From David Mack:
I caught a mouse today at Staples and set it free.

I recomend that everyone does it.

Went to Staples and making some copies when I saw a mouse crawl out from under the copier and do mouse sniffs and twitches.

I mentioned it and they said they had exterminators coming.

So when it walked out again, I put a box on top of it and it is now free outdoors to eat at the Outback restaurant next door.

Face it, there is just not that much mouse food in Staples.

David Mack Name-Dropping Thread
From David Mack:
I might make this a new tradition. This is Vol. 1.

I got an awesome e-mail from Bill Sienkiewicz today. It was so super it made my day. Him responding to the Kabuki Alchemy series. I'm going to ask him if I can put part of it in the next letters collumn.

I got a call from Terry Moore today and had a cool talk with him.

I talked to Brian Michael Bendis on the phone today about an awesome project.

And to top it off, I got a phone message from one of my favorite writers in the world. He doesn't do comics, he does novels and one has been made into a film that is one of my fave films of all times. It was so cool, I'm ironically not going to name drop this one.

But it really made my day.
