David Mack Provides Quote for Graphic Novel |
|
From 12 Reasons Why I Love Her author Jamie S. Rich: |
|
As discussed on Fanboy Radio just last week, 12 Reasons Why I Love Her is my first original graphic novel. It's done in collaboration with an excellent new artist named Joëlle Jones, who previously has only been published in the Dark Horse Sexy Chix anthology. I'm really excited about this, as will likely be evident in my Broken Frontier interview.
Read the interview, as well as an extensive preview of 12 Reasons Why I Love Her at Broken Frontier.
I can't stress enough that this may be the most heartfelt hype of my career. I'm so excited about what Joëlle and I have done together, I really hope everyone will give it a chance.
David Mack has been a kind supporter of Joëlle's work from the beginning, too, and he gave us this quote for our back cover: "I loved Joëlle Jones’ art from the first time I saw it." So, if you don't believe me, believe him. (Thanks, David!)
Here is the official Oni page.
Tell your retailer now that you want this book. Its order code is AUG06 3489.

Comicon Spotlights MS Society Artwork Auction |
|
Comicon.com posted the following email from Hope: New Orleans editor Thomas Mauer about Heroes Con organizer Shelton Drum's National MS Society artwork auction: |
|
Hey guys, David Mack* told me that he's donated some of his artwork to the National Multiple Sclerosis Art Auction to raise money in the fight against the illness. All money from the auction goes to the MS Society. You can read more about it here:
http://davidmackguide.com/news/2006/09/08.shtml
David wants to spread awareness of the
auction and the MS Society, so you're all getting this email. A lot of you are artists yourselves, and if you'd like to participate in the auction, there's information how to do that under the link. Direct contributions are possible as well, and please send the link to the people in your mailing lists, too.
* In case you're not aware, David is the creator of Kabuki, a comic that used to be at Image and now is at Marvel ICON. He also wrote and drew Daredevil and is a prolific cover artist with more titles to his name than you can shake a stick at.
Thanks,
-Thomas |
