Atomika #5 Press Release |
Below is the press release for Atomika #5, which was posted to Comicon.com: |
After a few bumps in the road to self-publishing, Mercury Comics has released it's first comic book this week. ATOMIKA #5 is in stores now, with ATOMIKA #6 closely behind. ATOMIKA #6 is at the printers now, and currently scheduled to be in-stores on December 28th.
Atomika’s journey takes him deep into Russia’s vast, towering forests, home to the ancient nature god Leshi. For decades, the Father of the Woods has watched his domain get eaten away by the forces of industry-seen thousands of his children hacked down each day-and he realizes that his time on this plane is over. Leshi does not want to fight Atomika, he wants to give him a gift: the wisdom to rule the kingdom of men. The question is, will the conceited, petulant God of Technology listen?
ATOMIKA #5 (of 12) Story & Pencils by Sal Abbinanti, written by Andrew Dabb, colors by Christina Strain & Beth Sotelo, and featuring a cover by acclaimed painter David Mack (Kabuki, Daredevil). The 32-page ATOMIKA #5 (MAY052934) is published by Mercury Comics, as of issue seven it will be a bi-monthly book.

When asked about his recent vacation, Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada told Newsarama.com: |
The family and I were invited to Maui by the Bendis brood to witness Brian and his beautiful wife Alisa renew their wedding vows on their tenth anniversary. We had a blast and as expected there were some comic folk there. Mike Oeming, Alex Maleev, David Mack, and Marc Andreyko were there as well. |
