San Diego is coming up
Jul 5 2004, 09:09 AM

I'll be there.
Please stop by my table and introduce yourself.
I plan to be set up with a Kabuki booth next to Andy Lee and NYC MECH at the Image booth area.
I'll have original art, Kabuki trades and more.
I'll be happy to sign all of my books (as many as you like) that you bring or pick up at my table.
I'll be there Wednesday thru Sunday.

And the new issue of Kabuki from Marvel ICON Will be in stores that Wednesday July 21.
You'll be able to pick it up at the store and bring it to the con to be signed.
And I should have it with me as well.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
David

Kabuki - general discussion
Jul 6 2004, 04:03 AM

I'm looking forward to Chicago too. Thanks to everyone here for the kind words about my work. And I really appreciate all of you taking the innitiative to try Kabuki.

I'll be at San Diego and Chicago signing at my booth the entire length of the show.
Please stop by and introduce yourself, and feel welcome to hang around my booth as long as you want. Your welcome to look through all of the art and books at my table, and I'll be happy to sign without limit all of my books that you bring or that you pick up at my table.

Which of these books should I add to my pull?
Jul 6 2004, 03:55 AM

Hi Brian,
If my vote means anything, I want to add my support to your decision to read Kabuki :)

I'm glad you like my Daredevil stuff, but I'd have to say that Kabuki is a much better presentation of my work. As artist and as writer.

The new series from Marvel ICON is a great place to start. But I'd also suggest picking up one of the previous Kabuki trades to add a greater depth to your enjoyment of the new series. Because you mentioned you liked my DD art, I'd suggest picking up KABUKI: Metamorphosis as it will probably be to your taste if you like the DD art. And I'd have to say that it is probably the best single book presentation of my work in comics, both as writer and artist.

Thanks for taking the innitiative to try my work. Please post your feedback to it when you get the chance to read it.

Best,
David

David Mack's Kabuki #1 Preview
Jul 10 2004, 07:35 AM

Hi Ken,
Thanks for posting the link.
And for the kind words!

Actually my contacts at Marvel tell me that it will ship on July 21. The day the San Diego show begins.

So I expect it to ship a week earlier than it says on the Pulse, but still enough time for new readers to read some Kabuki trades :)

Will I see you in San Diego?
David

Convention questions & tips
Jul 14 2004, 06:01 PM

Yeah,
I'll be at San Diego and Chicago.
All day every day.

At SD I'll be there the Wednesday preview night as well. My Kabuki booth and the booth shared by NYC Mech and Andy Lee will all be together in the back row of the the Image booths.

And at both shows Bendis will be hiding out there in between his panels.

Feel welcome to stop by and say hello. The new Kabuki #1 ships on Wednesday July 21. The start of the SD con. So you are welcome to bring it to get signed.
Please introduce yourself from the board.
Best,
David
