I am poetry in motion. But the kind of poetry that has bad grammar and comma splices. Dangling participles and run-on sentences. Plural problems and incorrect tenses.

Re: So I've Been Asked to Join the Masons
May 18, 2004 8:46 am

Hi Special,
Are you the guy who gave me a Special Comics shirt in Orlando a few years back? It has a yellow short bus on a blue shirt. If so, thanks  It's like the only comic shirt that I actually wear.

Before you join, watch "The Man who would be King" film.
The entire film is based on the stucture of Mason iconography, and inside info. After you join watch it again.

Also, I know some friends and fam who are Masons (33rd degree... and higher). In fact. one of the top ten writers in comics is a Mason.

For the sake of the widows son,
Let us know how it goes.

Hey all,
I returned from the Motor City Con this past weekend.
It was very amazing.
I saw Saul from this board and talked with him for a bit.
And he picked up some Kabuki trades.

Also Macmanyosi from this board travelled from Canada to attend the show:) He was a delight to speak to as well. And he also picked up some Kabuki books.

Saul, and Macman, Please let me know what you think of the books when you get a chance to read them.

There were a lot of people at the show that picked Kabuki up for the first time. Which was very encouraging.

Andy Lee was set up next to me in prime form. This show is very good to its guests and they have a great hospitality room for the guest artists and actors to eat and drink in. While taking breaks in there, I spoke with Michael Jai White who I just did a local TV con promo with when we were in NY a month ago. Also Ron Pearlman (Hellboy) was there. As well as Margot Kidder and many other charming actors and playboy playmates.

The teenage boy who plays young Boba Fette in the recent starwars pick was there too. I was introduced to him in the bar where we played pool and foosball. He was pretty cool.

I did a panel there with Michael Kaluta and Mark Texiera. And donated some kabuki books and stuff for the Art acution they had for the CBLDF.

There were so many interesting fans/readers and guests there. It was a blast.

Also Justin of WorldFamousComics.com was there and he restocked a bunch of prints for the wfcomics.com site. So check out the site and his large selection of exclusive Kabuki prints for only $12 each.

And you are welcome to stop by my Kabuki message board there.

Re: Kabuki Gai Jeans shirt
May 19, 2004 4:18 am

Just returned from the Motor City con this weekend.
Both Gai-Jeans shirts were HUGE sellers!
Especially the black one with the red and white Gai-Jeans logo. I sold out of all I had and have to order more from Graphitti designs.
I'm glad these have been recieved so well. All of the Kabuki shirts were going like hotcakes.

So thanks!

Here is a con thing I wrote on antother thread:

Also the Scarab action figure I had on display was very popular.

One person wanted it so bad that I ended up selling him my display model at the end of the show.

It has tons of accessories, including all the swords, guns and weapons shown on the cover of Scarab #6, and the PANDA from the story (which seems like everyone's favorite accessory.

Diamond Select is also producing a real life stuffed animal version of Scarab's Panda. Complete with holes and stitches. Seiko's old shot up Panda from the books.

I'm guessing by the end of this year, or early next.

I haven't seen the finished version yet, so I'll keep you updated as I learn more!

Feel free to spread the word on any of this info on other boards or your site!

Re: Coutdown to Powers and Kabuki relauch....
May 19, 2004 4:43 am

Glad you are looking forward to it!
The new Kabuki series is going to rock!

And there is a Powers character that makes some unnamed appearances in the story

See if you can connect the dots in it

I don't know if any Powers readers noticed that some Kabuki characters made some unanounced appearances in some of the early Powers issues.

Off the top of my head, Link, Kai, and Snapdragon have all had moments in Powers.

This new story has a more involved role for a Powers character. It won't mention who the character is in the story, only some hints that you will only get if you are a Powers reader.

Same with the Kabuki appearances.

I have them at every con I do. I don't have all of the prints that are sold on that site. But I do have most of them and others on display and for sale at every con I do.
