The mannequins remind me of all the statues I’ve seen in museums missing their arms and heads. I think of the Venus De Milo. Perfect woman of her era. Goddess of love and beauty. Now she has no arms. -- Kabuki: Metamorphosis #2

Have any of you seen that footage of the kid who tried to jump over a moving car and it flipped him up and broke both his legs?

A year or two ago, I was speaking at an art class in a high school cause I knew the art teacher. And that kid was in the art class.

Hey, Thanks for all the kind words. I really appreciate it.

Shwicaz, Glad you tried it out. I'm really glad you liked the first one. I do think they get better as they go. I did Circle of Blood ten years ago and I like to think it improves. I think Metamorphosis is the best example of my writing and art in comics. But I recomend that you read Skin Deep before Meta.

Jeffery,
Glad you are digging it and thanks for all the kind words on the board. It never mentions in Meta which character is killed. You have to piece that together on your own after reading the next story

All,
Just as Meta continues right where Skin Deep left off, THE ALCHEMY continues at the very place that Metamorphosis leaves off. For those that liked the story tone in Meta, then ALCHEMY is your thing. I'm trying to out do the story in Meta with ALCHEMY. And though Image billed it as a 6 issue series, there is a pretty good chance it will end of being longer.
It is a richly texture kind of story in the way Meta is.
And each issue sort of has a different pace and rythm and storytelling style the way Meta does. I like each chapter of the story to contrast from each other and culminate at the end.

I'm very happy to hear of all the new readers on this board trying Kabuki for the first time. Thanks for the great feedback.
Please let me know what you think of the other collections.

Best,
David

They asked me to do the covers for this, which is great because I've been a fan of Koike and Kojima since I was a kid.
It will be a really fun series.
