Two Comic Book Tattoo Release Party Photos
Golden Apple Comics posted two photos of David Mack from their Comic Book Tattoo release party, which was held Friday, August 1.

David Mack Mentioned in Mid-Ohio-Con Blog
Thanks to Mid-Ohio-Con owner and Producer James Henry for reporting that he talked about meeting David Mack at the San Diego Comic-Con in a recent post on the Mid-Ohio-Con blog.

Kabuki Mentioned in History of Sculpture Production
From Kabuki and Noh agent sculptor Clayburn Moore:
Back to busts again: As time passed, busts in this business went from actually being the head and shoulders only to later include the arms as well. This added about 25-35% of the sculpting, and at the same time, the size of the busts increased. When I produced the David Mack's Noh assassins, I added the arms as per the designs and there was no definition for something that was a sculpture of the head, chest and arms. The retail on these items stabilized (with some exceptions) at $45.00. The problem is that these pieces take 60% of the time to sculpt, are as time consuming to produce as a full figure and the price for production is disproportionate to the retail price of the item. To top it off, prices for manufacturing are rising by the month and the cost of shipping (ocean freight and domestic) is skyrocketing.

MOBA News Bytes
From HiddenRobot.com webmaster Tim Daniel:
It's been a awhile since I mentioned on the board about how you can read comics for free - online. Today is a pretty cool milestone so I thought I'd take a minute to remind you all of the Dailies: Powers, Kabuki & Mice Templar.

Powers concluded it's 4th collection online today! That means 462 pages of the title can now be read online in their entirety for FREE!

Right Here: http://www.jinxworld.com/POWERSDAILY/

And this got me thinking, has this ever been done before, in any way shape or form? Take a previously printed title and put every page online for free in a daily format? And then I thought, I don't think so, and I decided that was pretty cool.

Be sure to check out Mice Templar, you know that little thing that's going to made into a MOVIE!!! Nearly 100 pages right here:

And of course Kabuki, nearing the conclusion of the 3 collection!

Thanks a lot to those of you that continue to read and support this presentation of some of coolest comics around.

And Powers will return in September!
