Remembering Rory Root
From David Mack:
Oh, man. I was just talking with Rory in San Francisco a couple of months ago.

Like you, Tom, he was a big supporter from the early days. He had us sign at his story in the early days (me, Bendis, Greg Horn, Jim Hudnall in '96 and '97).

He ran a super store, and was always giving advice and support.

I'd see him a few times each year at conventions in San Fran, every San Diego, etc.

He'd always pick up Kabuki supplies from me to keep his store stocked and he had a super selection and was always friendly like we'd just picked up where we left off from the last time.

I've seen him on such a regular basis for the last 13 years, it is really difficult to think he is gone.

David Mack Attending Emerald City ComiCon 2008
Although he was not able to attend the 2008 Emerald City ComiCon, David Mack announced: "It looks like I will be back at Emerald City next year."
