Kabuki plays are almost entirely about ghosts... The drama’s form, nearly invariable, has the ghost disguises as human in the first half of the play, the latter half being devoted to its recognition and subsequent exorcism.

Download the David Mack documentary
DVD trailer - on sale in December

Topics Covered on David Mack Documentary DVD
David Mack posted three messages about the upcoming documentary on DVD:
#1: Greg [Jurls of HeroVideoProducitons.com] has confirmed for me that the DVD will be offered in the PREVIEWS catalogue for items shipping in December. In the Video/DVD section of the catalogue.

#2: I think you will like it. It is from HeroVideoProductions.com.

It will be in the video/DVD section of the Previews catalogue.

I think they will have a trailer of it on their site any day now. And they will continue to update and change the trailers so you can keep seeing the new one on the site.

It is a really extensive DVD.

New works, old works, REALLY old works, a commentary of an entire issue, sculptures, big paintings, handmade books, children's books, a live reading of my new kids book, and lots and lots and lots of stuff. Including probably the most in-depth interviews I've ever had.

#3: This is a pretty extensive DVD. There should be a lot of special features on it. I think the solicitation for it should show up on line in a couple weeks or so.

The same company did one of Terry Moore a couple years back and it was really really informative. Great interview on him.

And they were even more ambitious with this one. They said they had access to Terry for about 5 hrs. Whereas they flew in to visit my studio for 4 days.

David Mack Mentioned on Wordballoon
During the first part of Wordballoon.com's August 12 interview with Brian Michael Bendis, Mr. Bendis mentioned David Mack as a source for feedback (16m:20s), one of his favorite artists (39m:32s) and his gateway into Marvel (44m:48s). Also, Mr. Mack was mentioned when Dreg wondered if any of Mr. Bendis's friends have received nicknames, like Dandy David Mack (48m:05s) or Dog-Punting David Mack (49m:07s), and Brian Michael Bendis talked about the upcoming Daredevil: Volume 6 hardcover (1h:17m:57s).

Wolverine: Road of Bones Author Inspires Family
Thanks to David Mack for reporting that Kim and Megan Boedicker, who are fans of Star Trek and Wolverine: Road of Bones author David Alan Mack, have named their diabetes charity walk team, "Megan's Miracle Workers," after one of David Alan Mack's books, Miracle Workers: Starfleet Corps of Engineers. If you would like to help the Boedickers raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation during the Columbus, Ohio walk at Ohio State University on October 1, please visit JRDF.org.
