"San Diego Comic-Con is the biggest event in the comic book universe so we've timed the launch of our new web site to coincide with the convention," says Mike Malve, owner of Atomic Comics. "We're bringing our new van which is tricked out with Marvel characters and I've asked some of the top talent in the industry to join us for the celebration."

One of the highlights of the promotional tour will be the graffiti art showdown featuring comic book artists Jim Mahfood and David Mack, who will be freestyle drawing to the sounds of hip-hop music. Special guest Chuck D, the influential lead rapper of Public Enemy and Air America radio host, will be on hand to meet fans and sign copies of the new Public Enemy comic book being published by American Mule Entertainment.

Additional van stop guests include writer Jeph Loeb (X-Men, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, TV's Lost, Smallville, upcoming ABC drama Heroes), artist Patrick Scherberger (Marvel Adventures Spider-Man), Mexican penciller Humberto Ramos (Wolverine, Impulse, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Crimson), English writer Paul Jenkins (The Incredible Hulk, Hellblazer, The Darkness, Wolverine), writer Ed Brubaker (Batman, Daredevil, Captain America, Catwoman, X-Men: Deadly Genesis) and others.

David Mack Submits Pitch to Marvel
Below is an excerpt from Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada's column at Newsarama.com:
"fattthing" - I'm a huge David Mack fan and buy Kabuki whenever it is released, but I was curious to whether he will be doing any projects on Marvel characters any time soon (writer, artist or both)? I thought I read somewhere that he was going to be working on Ultimate X-Men co-writing with Bendis?

JQ: There was talk about the two of them working on Ultimate X-Men, fattthing, but currently that is no longer the plan. David just submitted a pitch into us the other day, so I suspect that you’ll see some of that David Mack goodness coming your way sometime next year.

Indie Spinner Rack Mentions Kabuki & David Mack
