Thanks all of you for your well wishes on this. I really appreciate it.
It has been near a month. My dad is in a rehabilitation center right now. No longer in the hospital. It is sort of like a nursing home where he is given therapy and has a staff to take care of him and administer his shots and medication etc. While his leg heals.
He still won't be able to walk on it for a month longer. So he is in a wheelchair now.
So far, it seems like he is doing ok medically. But we won't know if it affects his walking or mobility until after the bones heal and he is able to start walking therapy on it.
He's been out of work all this time, and not sure if he will be able to go back to work. He was on the job when this happened. Working as a security guard in a parking lot of a place, when a worker from that place ran him over from behind while he was on foot.
Thankfully his workers comp has begun kick in after lots of paperwork. But it only pays like 66% of his lost wages. And he's worried about being able to work and walk right afterwards.
If anyone has any experience or advice on this kind of thing, feel welcome to mention it.
Thanks
