Daredevil DVD Review
From DVDAngle.com:
And we haven't even covered "The Comic Book" yet! Expecting a sort of trivial or pointless lip-service to comic books à la the Spider-Man DVD, imagine the shock of coming across Men Without Fear: Creating Daredevil, an hour-long documentary that stands as perhaps the best ever dedicated to comic books and the creative souls behind the pencil and ink. Interviewees include the legendary Stan Lee, John Romita, Gene Colan, Frank Miller, John Romita Jr., Joe Quesada, David Mack, Brian Michael Bendis, and Kevin Smith (yes, that Kevin Smith). Much like "Beyond Hell's Kitchen": Making Daredevil, this one isn't for the kiddies, but as Frank Miller so poignantly points out in the documentary, comic books really aren't for kids anymore, so it's doubtful that they'll be begging to watch a bunch of middle-aged men wax philosophical about their trade. For old-school comic fans, though, every minute of the piece is an absolute treasure.
