TUE, 1/27/04, 3:25 a.m. - In Response To: News: David Mack and Anh Tran on a DVD (David Thornton)

I remember this. They documented us and interviewed me in San Diego. Did you see it? How is it?

David,

Michael Goodman sent me one of your magazines and I have to say that I am truly amazed. Your work is fabulous. I am not very good at drawing, or art in general, but I have a great love and apprecation for it. I am now a huge fan.

Thanks, Natalie

Nataie!
Thanks a bunch for reading my work and for the kind feedback.
Welcome to our message board

And thanks Michael!
David

Re: Kabuki Agents: Tiger Lilly
TUE, 1/27/04, 3:32 a.m. - In Response To: Kabuki Agents: Tiger Lilly (Tony Solomun)
i can't wait to see this series, i hear that it will tie in with the upcoming alchemy series which is fine i guess, though i hope not all the Kabuki Agents tie in with Kabuki; i'd like if some of the noh Agents stories stand on their own.
Hi Tony,
Tigerlily will totally stand on its own as a story. There just happen to be some scenes that overlap, but you will only know they over lap and tie in if you read both stories. Forinstance Tigerlily appears in Alchemy, but you won't know it is her until your read Tigerlily. And Kabuki appears in the Tigerlily story, but you will not know it is her unless you read ALCHEMY.

But both stories stand on thier own without having read the other.
And you can try to guess which character is Tigerlily or Kabuki.
But it won't change your understanding of the story. It will just be an extra layer of reality for you to enjoy and piece together.

For fans of Andy Lee...
THU, 1/29/04, 1:58 p.m. - In Response To: Hell Yeah (Adjam)

He is currently illustrating a six issue story arc of Sam & Twitch written by Marc Andreyko. Scott Morse did the previous arc and it looked great.
I can't wait to see what Andy's looks like.

Kai as in Circle of Blood Kai?

oh HELL YEAH!!!!!

Andy has a really unique voice, i can't wait to see how he can tell a story.....

later days, Adjam

THU, 1/29/04, 10:06 p.m. - In Response To: Re: Kabuki Agents: Tiger Lilly (Andy_Leeke)
The depth and the nonliniar storytelling in kabuki is why i love it. Whenever that kind of attention is paid to a story it shows its creator really cares. In terms of depth of world and character, Mack, you're the comic book worlds answer to tolkien.
Thanks for the kind words!
If you like that kind of depth and non-linear, I think you will dig Alchemy. I'm trying some extra-dimensional multi-linearities in it

Also using circles, elipses and spiral storytelling in this one. And worm-hole storytelling.

Remember this. You'll know what I'm talking about after a few issues are out. Let me know what you think of it then
Best,
David

I will be there all 3 days...
THU, 1/29/04, 10:09 p.m. - In Response To: david at Mega-con, (Fr0w)

Not warm-hole. Worm-hole...
THU, 1/29/04, 11:22 p.m. - In Response To: warm hole storytelling?!? alright!!! (Michael Goodman)

warm hole is a totally different kind of story.

you know, the way we get sucked in to your work, you've already mastered black hole storytelling

..sorry
