They said I’m not playing with a full deck. But I am. It’s just that all the cards are wild.

Re: Kabuki: Alchemy #1 solicitation
MON, 10/27/03, 5:32 p.m. - In Response To: Re: Kabuki: Alchemy #1 solicitation (Supergoch)

Dumb question but wasn't Kabuki's face scarred by her own father Kai?
- Supergoch
If you are reffering to that solicitation text, I don't know who wrote that ridiculous description. I wrote one for it myself that should have been what you saw (specific to this issue and series as well as what Kabuki is about in concept). Instead this thing is there which rubs me the wrong way. I'm going to have to discuss it with someone.

Re: Kabuki T-shirts!!! Listed here...
FRI, 10/31/03, 6:42 p.m. - In Response To: Re: Kabuki T-shirts? ? ? ? (~Adam)

Kabuki shirts are available and are always offered to readers in the Kabuki checklist in the back of every Kabuki book and trade. Some are only available at conventions or thru Anh at and others have been offered thru the Previews catalogue from Graffitti designs and are available in stores (if you retailer orders it for you).

--The most popular shirt is the Black shirt with the Noh Dragon Tat on the back and it says Kabuki on the front. This comes in just about any size including the girl v-neck style. This shirt is very popular with the ladies who do not want a bigger t-shirt.
This shirt is always available from us and the t-shirt version was also produced by Graffiti designs and offered thru the catalogue.

--The "You Don't Know Me" shirt is also still available and comes in T-shirt version (white or grey) and the girl v-neck style (this style is the exact cut and fit that Kabuki and Akemi have in the books. Most women readers prefer this style). Available thru Anh at .

--The cover art to Kabuki #3 was available as a shirt offered in the cataloge from Dynamic Forces. We still have some in stock and you can get them only thru us as far as I know.

--Scarab Face (cover art to Masks of the Noh) is produced by Graffiti designs. Available thru us and your local store.

--Kabuki face (varient cover art to Kabuki #4) is produced by Graffiti designs. Available thru us and your local store.

All these are in stock and available right now.
Upcoming Kabuk shirts fro Graffiti designs include:
--Skin Deep cover art, offered in February Previews Catalgue.
--GAI-JEANS logo T-shirt.

Many of you have other Kabuki T-shirts that have been offered over the years. But I only listed the shirts that are currently available and will be in stock for the foreseeable future.

As far as I know there are 3 kabuki shirts floating around out there. One is a black T with the white "Kabuki logo" on the front and a white Noh dragon on the back (which is my favorite), the other is a "You don't know me" T shirt with the Control corps logo on grey. The 3rd is the cover of Kabuki #3 on a white shirt, which is a beautiful image, but doesn't really work as well as a T-shirt design IMO. I think there's a shirt with his art for Daredevil #9 on it also. Now that I think about it, the early Kabuki Noh face from the TV screens from Circle of Blood would make a really cool shirt. Maybe a dark maroon ink on a lighter "mocha" colored shirt, or an "army green" would look cool. I dunno, I'd love to do my own t-shirts some time, since I can never find T-shirts of a lot of the bands I like. I know how to do it, just haven't gotten my act together to go in some weekend and make them. (Plus buying t-shirts and photo emulsion and t-shirt ink and mylar can get kind of pricey.)
