Re: some advice

(~Adam) : Check out his ad for "SAkura" products in a lot : what kind of watercolors and I paint with Acrylic and water color simutlaneously, mixing one color from
water color with another color from acrylic to get the right shades. The trick
is to let the water itself do the real work. I just sort of add different tones
to the water blobs as they dry and coagulate together and I often mix them right
on the page, by letting the water mix them together.
In skin tones, there might be some open tubes of pink, peach, and purple,
acrylic and some wet water color trays of watered down orange, browns, tans,
yellows, etc, that I mix into the wash.
: My advice here would be to NOT start with water : Which is why you should probably start painting with : as they take much longer to dry, which makes it easier : As for the skin tones (damn, I wish I could find the : ~Adam

Hey there,
: color...it's a lot
more frustrating, as once you put
: it down, it's there. The thing about
watercolor is to
: start VERY LIGHT, and gradually build up darks and
:
tighter details. Of course, you can't layer too much,
: or it will look
muddy.
: acrylics, (which
can be watered down and used like
: watercolors...) Or better yet, oils,
which although
: they're the most expensive, are also more forgiving,
: to correct
mistakes.
: formulas my
painting teacher gave me for these...)
: just play around with different
browns and reds as
: well as other colors... You'll get something you like
: eventually.
