The mannequins remind me of all the statues I’ve seen in museums missing their arms and heads. I think of the Venus De Milo. Perfect woman of her era. Goddess of love and beauty. Now she has no arms. -- Kabuki: Metamorphosis #2

You can check out my main board at wfcomics.com.

The place Bendis' board used to be. You are welcome to mingle with the Kabuki readers there.

Re: Paul McCartney

Paul is a HUGE fan of comic books. Some of his songs have references to comic books in them.

He is a very artistic person and an amazing painter. Take a look at his big book of paintings you can find in any book store in the art section.

He had his assistant go to great lengths to track me down and commission me to do some paintings and drawing for him, based on his reading my Kabuki comic books.

Besides the musical genius side that everyone knows, he is hugely knowledgable and skilled in many other areas, and is a great person, compassionite humanitarian, and philanthropist.

My section on the Joe Q board is fun, but it is a pretty new developement. I only stared posting there a few months ago. I've had a place on wfcomics.com since they started in 94 or 95. There are links there to all of the other Kabuki sites, fan sites, and even my own site at davidmack.net.

Re: The Truth about Bendis
Dec 19, 2003 4:16 pm

I'm pretty sure that is all true. I remember having a conversation about it with Brian a few years ago when he did research on his last name and discovered its Greek origins.

The cult of Bendis is revived!

Re: Hawkeye (avengers not mash) has no thumbs?

Well... the actor who plays Radar on Mash is missing some fingers. That's why on those BP commercials he always has an hand in his pocket.

Re: WISH A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GABRIELE DELL'OTTO!
Dec 20, 2003 1:58 am

He speaks good English. I spent a week with him in France and had no problem talking with him.

At one point we were walking thru Paris with our girlfriends, and he was unconscioulsy humming. And then I realized he was humming Sweet Child of Mine by Guns n Roses. Then I started singing it as he was humming it, and we realized he was humming out loud, and we all started singing our loud version of it. It was a funny spontaneous moment with our girlfriends cracking up.
