Comics are a subversive medium capable of great communication and cultural influence. The format affords an individual to voice a singular vision on an international scale under the radar of big business interest and federal regulation.

Home FAQ 5.2: Rules for building fan web sites

4/7/01, 5:15 p.m.
There are a few basic rules that we have to agree to so I can cover my interests. The basic rules are:

1) There may be some situation in the future that may require that you remove it. Dealing with licenses and rights. You never know when some "exclusivity" notion will come up in the future.

2) Do not show any images that imply or depict violent, sexual or nude situations. If any of this happens in the story, it is part of a story, and I can't stand to see it out of context.

3) For any other reason that comes up in the present or future, I must reserve the right to be able to veto any images for any reason and reserve the right to discontinue the project for any reason.

7/17/01, 2:48 a.m.
The basic guidlines are these:

A) With images please mention that Kabuki is created by David Mack and is TM & copyright David Mack. All rights reserved.

B) Please mention that it is published my Marvel's Icon Comics.

C) Please do not use any Kabuki images that may depict any type of violence or nudity. I don't like anything resembling that presented out of context of the story.

D) Please understand that I need to reserve the right to ask you to discontinue use of the Kabuki imagery if it conflicts with a business situation that I enter into in the future or for any other reason. I don't foresee anything like this happening, but I just need to cover that possibility.
